COMMITS NexGen GSA Contract

The COMMerce Information Technology Solutions program (aka COMMITS NexGen) is the successor to the COMMITS program, which was also sponsored by the United States Department of Commerce.

The COMMITS NexGen contract is a competitive contract for IT solutions that is awarded to small, small disadvantaged, small woman owned, small veteran owned, small 8(a), service disabled veteran owned, and small HUBZone businesses.

Only performance-based IT service firms that are able to meet the government's requirements for top-quality IT solutions receive the COMMITS NexGen contract.  As part of the program, there is a much-streamlined acquisition methodology.  Under the program, performance-based IT services are provided in three primary functional areas:

  • Systems Operations and Maintenance (SOM) Support Solutions
  • Information Systems Engineering (ISE) Support Solutions
  • Information System Security (ISS) Support Solutions
